I think this is maybe the easiest tip to save energy in your home.
Use the appropriate size burner on your stove for the size of pan you are using to cook.

Are gas stoves or electric more efficient?
ReplyDeleteGood question, Jeris. I don't know the exact answer, but I will say this: I really like the gas stove that we have. It's the first time I've ever really cooked on one. I love that when I turn it on it is the exact temperature I need...I don't waste the energy it takes to heat it up. It's kind of a similar principle with using my toaster oven versus my regular oven. It only heats up what I need to have heated up. What do you think?
